About

WINFORCE ITHACA (also known as “win-for-Ithaca”) is an independent music and art label based in Ithaca, NY. Our label explores cross-aesthetics where forgotten media, obsolete technologies, and emerging technologies meet and harmonize. We revisit the sounds, machines, aesthetics, and cultural forms of the past, reactivating them through contemporary tools, including AI, open-source platforms, and DIY electronics.

Through this practice, we develop our own aesthetic called “retro-futuristic technomancy”: using old-new hybrid technologies as aesthetic and spiritual mediums for transformation, experimentation, and ritual—toward a more sustainable future and a more connected creative community.

WINFORCE ITHACA is rooted in Ithaca’s indie and underground music scene, as well as its local reuse, repair, and maker communities. We care deeply about ecological sustainability, experimental art, and building a vibrant local creative culture.

Artists


K-Medusa — A shamanic technomancer using homemade technologies and obsolete media to cast spiritual audiovisual spells.
Leondidis — An imaginative AI duo weaving human and computational beings together to envision a playful future through augmented reality, AI-generated music, and film.
Dr. Gang — An underground spiritual engineer exploring the machine psyche through HCI research, AI spirituality, and transcendence.

Label Productions

WINFORCE releases DIY mixtapes and VHS films to develop a retro-futuristic listening culture, embracing the materiality, analog aesthetics, and media-archaeological qualities of obsolete formats. We use both new and reclaimed media as complementary materials: new formats offer hi-fi sound and image quality, while reused tapes and VHS bring unique textures, histories, and the beauty of imperfections.

Many of our productions are currently prototype concepts; they are not commercially distributed at this stage due to copyright and licensing considerations. We are looking for legal and business partners interested in helping us develop this renaissance work.
