'When I Painted You' is a series that emerges from the oil paint palette -
a form of painting that begins not on the canvas, but where colors linger beside it.
On the palette, colors drift, merge, and form accidental compositions-
sometimes suggesting images, sometimes evoking words or poetic sensations.

The word comes into the world, but rarely, and is hard to behold; and when he appears in the world, it is hard for him to speak his word. Throughout countless ages, too, it is difficult to hear this word; and those who can hear this word— such people too are rare, like the udumbara flower, in which all take delight, which gods and humans prize; for it blooms but once in a long, long time. |

Colorful proseccos offer interest.
A delusion of occlusion.
Silent serenades, silts from sex.
And my poem:
Love you,
(repeat x 2)

When I painted you
Nymphs torqued this palette.
Soft, natural imaginations of a dizzy lymph.
Gorging demurely,
Fall in love.
